What do expect when you hear a Mani Ratnam release? You expect something like a Yuva, Roja, Dalapathi, Nayagan etc.
Post Yuva/Ayuthe Ezuthu, I've been terribly disappointed with Mani's works especially Guru and Raavan.
Kadal falls into the same line of Guru and Raavan with no strong script or anything new to offer.
The only positives are the strong performances form Arjun and Arvind Swamy followed by AR Rahman's music.
On the whole another letdown by the master movie maker of India.
